Happy New Year! Let’s Celebrate!

Happy New Year! Let’s Celebrate with a Giveaway It’s hard to believe we’re at the end of 2017! I’m always stunned when an old year ends and a new one begins. This has been a year that brought plenty of surprises. Good ones related to my writing, like making it onto the USA Today Bestseller list in July with SUMMER WHODUNNITS and the wonderful news that Tantor Media wanted to purchase the rights to make audiobook versions of the Jessica Huntington Desert Cities Mystery books. That they got the first one out before the end of the year was a lovely surprise, too!

As a year passes it always brings us plenty of challenges, too, doesn’t it? This one has been filled with several on the home front for me. I know by reading your posts in the comments on my giveaways or elsewhere on Facebook or in the emails you send me that I wasn’t alone in facing challenges. Not this year or any year.
I have a feature coming out in the Kings River Life Magazine, January 7th about the joy I get from the fresh start a new year brings. I hope you feel a little tingle of excitement at the possibilities–a brand new year to get it right!! Woohoo!
It’s time to consider what we’ll “chase” in the new year that will make the best of that new year. Thank you for your willingness to reach out and to share your lives as they unfold throughout the year. Thanks, too, for the time you spend with me!
Let’s celebrate the year ahead by kicking it off with a giveaway. What do you win? 2 winners get $10 Amazon gift cards plus your choice of Jessica’s new audiobook version of A DEAD HUSBAND or if you don’t like audiobooks you can choose any of my eBooks in any series.

I’m planning to move ahead this year with new books in each of my three existing series. Plus, by the end of 2018, I hope to have completed the first book in a new romantic suspense series featuring Lilian Callahan. Known by her beloved aunt and some less beloved family members as “Cala Lilly” or just Lilly.

As you probably already know by now, book 6 in the Georgie Shaw Cozy Mystery Series, Murder of the Maestro is available now at the 99c preorder price, for release March 2nd. To order your copy on Amazon, CLICK HERE.

What in the world has happened to Detective Frank Fontana? Evie’s called Jessica, in tears, to say that someone came to their home and he went with them. Was he abducted or did he go willingly? Where? Why? In A DEAD COUSIN, book 5 in the Jessica Huntington Desert Cities Mystery series, those questions will get answered. Due out in May 2018. To find out more about the entire series: CLICK HERE.

Before that, I hope other books in the series will be available from Tantor Media as audiobooks. I love the narrator who’s telling Jessica’s story in book 1, A DEAD HUSBAND. I hope they keep her on to narrate the other books. You can listen to a sample if you’d like. CLICK HERE

Kim and Brien will be back–summer at the latest with a new adventure. It starts on the beach in Corsario Cove [surprise, surprise] when eagle-eyed Brien spots something moving, out in the middle of nowhere. It’s a dog swimming for its life. Brien in true Thor-like action is on the move. In Radical Regatta lots of visitors have gathered around the cove for a sailing competition. Their boats are docked at the marina. Does the dog belong to one of them? How did the poor creature end up on its own far from shore?

I have plans for Georgie Shaw and Detective Jack Wheeler to put in another appearance before the end of 2018. Put your dancing shoes on for this one–A Tango Before Dying, Georgie Shaw Cozy Mystery #7, brings us more behind the scenes action at Marvelous Marley World. By now, you and I know, it’s not always so marvelous at Marvelous Marley World. “Cat-astrophes” abound at the Cat Factory!

And then there’s Lilly…a return “home” to her Aunt’s estate in California wine country starts off with a bang. Fortunately for her, she’s not alone in wanting to find out what’s going on.  Deputy Jeff Jennings is on the case. The fugitive he’s chasing soon has Lilly on the run.  Can you ever really go home? Let’s leave it at that for the moment. More about her in the coming months!

The Cala Lily Mystery series will involve romance, mystery, with more suspense than my other series. If you’re a fan of romantic suspense and thrillers, please drop me a line so I can start a list of people willing to read ARCs!

Speaking of suspense…this week I have a book for you from an author friend who writes in that genre.
